Extron IP Intercom 系统是一种易于使用的双向内部通信设备，其设计特别符合教育市场的需求。通过使用学校现有的局域网，IP Intercom 系统可以轻松地为每间教室部署实时服务台支持。Extron IP Intercom 硬件站和 IP Intercom HelpDesk 软件无需对网络协议进行任何升级，其设计适用于任何状况正常的网络。
Extron IP Intercom 硬件站分为两种类型：IPI 100 系列和独立式 IPI 200 系列。IPI 100系列 IP 内部通信站需要使用一个 MLC 226 IP MediaLink 控制器来进行操作。IPI 200系列 IP 内部通信站是独立的 IP 可定址模块，操作时无需使用 MediaLink 控制器。
每一款都有自己的 RJ-45 以太网连接器，并且单独供电。
